Work with De
The story so far
The youngest of four, De grew up in country Western Australia. Money was tight but her Dad wanted to send his 2 daughters to university. So he bought a business to create an extra income. It was run down, going backwards financially but had a low entry purchase point with lots of upside. To De's delight it was a Mr Whippy ice cream van!
With two full time jobs, he worked hard to turn the business around. It wasn't easy, but the newly created extra income gave him funds to invest. Years on and having built a substantial property portfolio, he became a self-funded retiree.

Importantly, what De's Dad taught her was how his tiny steps each day turned a crumbling business into a fat cash cow. She witnessed first hand what the power of business does, and how leveraging money provides a platform for creating legacy wealth.
It was natural then that after graduating from Uni, Deanne should want to do the same. With a rare full time job (in the midst of a recession) and a whopping $21,000 per year income, De felt life was all heading in the right direction - totally in love with a man she thought she was going to marry.
Turning point - a memo came around at work to say a (very old) guy was coming to talk about superannuation and retirement planning (some 40 years away and completely irrelevant to her at the time).
When discussing this meeting later with her "knight in shining armour" Economics grad boyfriend, he casually told De not to worry about building her super, because he’d take care of her.

Ummm.....Hellooooo? Her father had groomed her for financial independence!
Needless to say, soon after that conversation De bought her first investment property. And not long after, split with the boyfriend (after all - a man is not a financial plan.)

But life is about lessons - and this one came around again for De.
A few years later, post-wedding, post-honeymoon (different guy!) she sat on the bed and read her savings statement out to the new hubby - $8493. This was hard-earned money which she’d earmarked as a home deposit. A new chapter of love and absolute happiness was about to begin – until the elephant in the room showed up!
Unbeknownst to De, the new husband had brought with him a debt from his previous relationship (aka - sexually transmitted debt). And he had his eyes on her money to repay his ex! Even more devastating was his revelation that he didn't want either a home or children, leading to a quick marital demise.
But De knew there was more to life. She was young, optimistic and resilient and took the experience as an opportunity to discover who she was, and what she truly wanted. Through this process, she found a place of freedom she’d never experienced before. Independent, self sufficient, and carefree. Life was very good.

In the background there was still a deep desire for a home, baby (the husband was optional) and financial certainty. She gave herself seven years to make it happen, and so set about to grow the $8493, becoming financially responsible and building security to bring a babe into the world.
Seven years later a baby boy was born (and yes she found a new husband who also came with assets to match hers!!). They have subsequently grown their investment portfolio, levelled up multiple times over, and with the help of great mentors, and have continued learning, learning, learning.
De's passion is now sharing what works with other women - how to unshackle from money pressures, create multiple streams of light touch passive income, create family financial legacy's, with a whole lot of joy and fun thrown in along the way.
She brings 30+ years of direct investing experience, years of strategic financial coaching, and a thirst for personal and professional development. It's accountability meets discipline, mixed with a healthy dose of growth,.... and sometimes some hard love!
Above all, she loves seeing women soar to new heights, bringing forward the best version of themselves with grace, ease and flow.
